Emory Autism Journal

The most up-to-date research on autism spectrum disorders (ASD) can be a great resource for families and individuals searching for answers. What are the best treatments? What causes autism? What factors can influence symptoms of autism?

Answers to these questions can be found in the most up-to-date research about autism, but there are two main accessibility issues. First, access to databases is expensive. Second, most scientific papers are filled with jargon that only a niche a people can read without getting lost.

At Emory, students have many databases we can use and courses that foster the skill of scientific reading. Our Research Curators and contributors have reviewed some of the latest research in an effort to make ASD research findings more accessible to the public. It is our hope that the articles we publish here can educate and shine a light on autism research provide more resources for those touched by ASD.

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, our team will be adding COVID-19 reviews. Mass media often does not give the complete picture in what is really going on with clinical trials, drugs, and projections. We hope to bring some clarity in this chaotic time.
